Per-order document edits
Enterprise plans can edit a single order's document without touching the template: text overrides, block settings and even code.
Opening the order editor
Open an order from the app's Orders page. On Enterprise plans the page is an editor: the document on the left, the order details on the right. Lower plans see a read-only preview with the actions.
What you can change
- Switch on Edit Text and click any text, including order values, to correct a typo or reword a line for this order only.
- With Code view enabled under Settings → General, the Liquid and CSS as well, again for this order only.
How it is stored
The edits live on the order's document, never on the template. The base template stays untouched, and Remove Custom Edits returns the order to the template while keeping its history and versions.
Generating
Generate Invoice saves unsaved edits first and then renders, so the PDF always reflects what you see. Text overrides are keyed to the rendered text of the language they were made in; switching the document language later orphans them for that order.
