Invoice numbers, void and reissue
Numbers are allocated once per order before the first real render and never reused; a voided number stays a documented gap.
How numbers are allocated
The number is assigned the first time a real document is produced for an order (generate, send, download, print or automation) and reused on every later regeneration. Previews use a placeholder and never consume a number. See Document Numbering settings for patterns and resets.
Void
On the order's page, the Invoice Number section has a Void button. The number is marked void and is never reused; the gap stays in your sequence as an audit record. Use it when an issued invoice must be withdrawn.
Reissue
Reissue allocates the next free number to the same order. Regenerate the PDF afterwards so the document carries the new number. Both actions are recorded in the order's event log.
Correcting a sent invoice
If you correct data on an invoice that was already sent (for example a buyer VAT number), void and reissue it rather than silently regenerating, so the change is traceable.
