Document history and version history
The History page lists every document and its delivery status; every regenerated PDF becomes a new version, and Enterprise plans add finalized holds, longer retention and the version history view.
History
History lists documents of every type with their latest status (generated, sent, downloaded, printed or failed) and the delivery feedback on sent emails (delivered, bounced, complained). Filter by type, status, date or customer, open the PDF in the viewer, resend it or download it again.
Per-order event log
Each order's page in the app keeps an event log: who generated, sent, printed or downloaded the document, whether it was manual, automatic, from Shopify Flow or from the API, delivery feedback from the mail provider, VAT validations and number changes.
Versions and version history
- On every plan, each materially different render becomes a new, permanent version; identical renders reuse the existing one. The points below need Enterprise or above.
- Sending an invoice finalizes the version and places a hold on the stored file so it cannot be overwritten or casually deleted.
- Issued invoices are retained for 5 years on Enterprise plans and 2 years on other paid plans; estimates for 1 year. Superseded drafts that were never sent age out sooner.
- The order page shows each version with Current / Finalized / Held badges and a download per version.
