Currencies and number formats
Print in the customer's currency or your store currency, add a store-currency row under the total, and choose how numbers are written.
Which currency prints
Settings → General → Document Currency chooses between the currency the customer paid in (presentment, the default for new installations) and your store currency. Stores selling in several currencies through Shopify Markets usually keep presentment so the invoice matches the order the customer saw.
The store-currency row
In the Totals block switch on Show Store Currency Total to print an extra row ("Order Value" by default) with the grand total in your store currency. It prints only when the two currencies differ.
Number format
Number Format (all plans) sets how amounts are written: a fixed convention such as en-US (1,234.56) or de-DE (1.234,56), or Auto — Match the Currency, where each currency uses its own convention (EUR prints 1.234,56 €, INR prints ₹1,23,456.78). Dates follow the Date Format on the same page and, with Localized Date Formats, the document language.
In the app
Order Totals in the App chooses which currency the Orders list, History and Dashboard show; it does not change documents.
Changing the currency later
A PDF that already exists keeps its currency until it is regenerated; use Regenerate (or the Ask dialog) after changing the setting.
