Email and delivery

Sender name and address, domain verification with DNS records, test mode, the email template per document type and the Delivery Issues list.

Sender

  1. Go to Settings → Email & Delivery.
  2. Enter the sender name, sender email and reply-to address, and any CC or BCC addresses that should receive a copy of every document email.
  3. Under Domain Verification, add the DNS records shown (DKIM and the mail-from domain) at your DNS provider and click Check Status. Until the domain verifies, emails go out from the app's fallback sender with your name.

Test mode

With Test Mode on, every email goes to your own address instead of the customer. Use it while setting up templates.

Email template

The card shows the invoice and estimate emails in tabs. Edit Template opens a light editor for the subject and body (Liquid variables available) with a layout picker and a test send.

Delivery tracking

Each send is tracked: delivered, bounced, complained and opened land in the document's history and on the History page. A permanent bounce or a complaint adds the address to Delivery Issues; sends to that address are refused with a clear reason until you remove it from the list.
